It is that time of year! It is our desire that every student coming to Reality Student Ministries participate in Fine Arts because we know that God has given every student unique talents and gifting that we want to help them discover, develop, and deploy! Fine Arts is a great discipleship and growing opportunity for your students! If your student hasn’t participated in Fine Arts in the past then I want to encourage you to give it a try. If your student has participated then I am sure you know the benefits of Fine Arts! Please make plans to attend our Fine Arts Parent Meeting on October 17th following our Wednesday Night RSM Service in the Youth Chapel. Because Fine Arts requires a great commitment we are requiring students participating in Fine Arts to be regular attenders of RSM on Wednesday Nights. Please attend the parent meeting for more information!

They are going to have free food, some awesome games, and a worship service with guest speaker our Ohio District Youth Director Nate Ortiz encouraging students to reach their schools this year! We will be meeting here at PAG at 4pm to head over to Gateway and plan to be back by 9pm. On August 4th the Salvation Army in Painesville is putting on their annual Back to School Bash. They give away clothes, hair cuts, groceries and more at Harvey High School, and they give away school supplies at their Salvation Army location on Pearl Street. We have the awesome opportunity to partner with them in serving the people of Painesville. THIS SATURDAY we will be taking 10 RSM students over to the Salvation Army to help them pass out school supplies. If you want your student to participate in this service opportunity then they will need to grab a permission form at the welcome center this Wednesday, you will need to fill it out, and return to Pastor James. Since we can only take 10 students, we will take the first 10 to turn in permission forms. We will be meeting here at PAG at 12pm on August 4th, and then take one church van over to Salvation Army. You then will be able to pick your students up after the event at 4pm at PAG.
This Saturday from 12-4pm RSM is having a car wash here at the church to raise money for Speed-The-Light. Speed-The-Light is a missions organization designed to provide vehicles to our missionaries around the world so that they will have the necessary transportation they need to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who have not yet heard! So on Saturday we will be washing cars so that missionaries can have cars. If your student would like to help out with this car wash then they can meet us here at 12noon. Please make sure they eat lunch before arriving as lunch will not be provided. It is not necessary, but will be helpful if students could bring one old towel they could use to dry the vehicles (all other materials will be provided). If you have a car you can also support Speed-The-Light by getting your car washed and giving a donation. We can’t wait!
This Wednesday night we are combining Reach Night with Summer Hangs Sr.! Reach Night services are special evangelistic services where we encourage students to invite their friends who do not know Jesus to RSM because we will be focusing our service on reaching the unreached! If you have a student going into 9-12 grade then after this special service they are invited to join us over at Round 1 (7850 Mentor Ave Suite 200A Mentor, OH 44060; At the Great Lakes Mall) till 10pm. They must provide their own transportation to and from this event, and we estimate they will need $20 while they are there.
